Mission
The purpose of the Separation Sciences Foundation is to support activities and the sharing of knowledge related to chemical separation methods, to arrange scientific meetings (conferences, symposia, workshops, etc.), to collaborate with and assist other organizations engaged in activities within the same scientific area, and to support and stimulate younger researchers and students involved in projects related to chemical separation techniques.
History
The Foundation was founded in January 2002. At that time, the Foundation was the Scandinavian section of the UK based Chromatographic Society (http://www.chromsoc.com). The first board members were professor dr. pharm. Steen Honoré Hansen, University of Copenhagen, DK (chair), professor dr. phil. Tyge Greibrokk, University of Oslo, N, professor dr.
